Hi Bronylanders! Nightly Luna here, with the first EVER part in the series Brony Arcade, and today, I am reviewing Hoofball. Hoofball is a game made by Donitz, the creator of a game called Story of the Blanks (a creepypasta game I may review later) . You play as Applebloom, and the main point of the game is to beat the Mane 6 (minus Fluttershy) with your teammate Sweetie Belle at Hoofball, which is similar to Soccer.
This game has the same 16-bit sprites as Story of the Blanks (considering the same developer). The controls are very simple, the arrow keys to move around and Z to interact with things/ponies. The music is on an audio loop, but the song is good enough that it’ll actually make you relax, with all the rage you’ll have when you can’t get past Applejack and Rarity.
First off, the music is really good. It’s really relaxing, but after awhile you’ll forget it’s even there, considering how addicting this game is. The graphics look really show-accurate, considering it’s 16-bit. Even I, myself, have not finished the game. Not that it is hard, it’s just that it gets more difficult as you progress, which just makes it more addicting. One good thing about it is that whenever you lose a match, you don’t start all over from the beginning. You just talk to Rainbow Dash and your match comes back to the ponies you were playing with. Not to mention there are a couple easter eggs, but I’ll leave that for you to discover.
Well, that does it for this review, if you have any suggestions for any games I should review, leave them in the comments. And I shall see you in the next review!
